Dear Dancers,
Welcome to Dance Marathon 2008! I hope you are beginning to realize what an amazing commitment you are going to be making on April 5th and 6th. Your contribution is not only helping the kids, but also their families and the Embrace Kids Foundation. You are the heart of the Marathon and without your commitment and devotion none of this would be possible.
This year’s team of Directors is working hard to make this the best Marathon yet. There will be TONS of games, prizes, and entertainment during the weekend. I highly encourage you to participate in all of the activities we have planned – it will make the time go by so much faster. Also be sure to tell your friends and family to stop by and visit you! Visitors are always welcome.
The pledge you have made to stay awake and on your feet the whole weekend means so much to the families of the Foundation. I know this is going to be hard, but when you feel like you are about to sit down, please think of them. Even though you will feel pain for a short amount of time, think of the pain the children who are in the hospital feel. There will be two times over the weekend where you will be able to interact with the families and children, so please remember to be respectful and refrain from sitting or smoking when they are there.
If you need ANYTHING either prior to the marathon or over the course of Marathon weekend, please contact either myself or another board member. You are going to be the star of the show Marathon weekend, and I salute you! Thank you for your dedication to the Marathon and the Embrace Kids Foundation. Good luck and have fun!
For the Kids!
