Katherine and Stephen Budinsky have many things in common. They are both FTK, being involved with RUDM as captains and Assistant Directors. They are also siblings. Although they both had very different teams within the RUDM leadership team they both shared that love and passion for Embrace Kids that ran through their family tree. Katherine describes DM’s impact during her college experience as the most rewarding organization that I have been a part of since I was a First Year at Rutgers. My brother has so many positive things to say about RUDM, which pushed me to apply to be a captain my freshman year. I have not only met friends that will last a lifetime and are always there for me no matter what, but I have truly seen how we carry out the credo in the work that we do, and how our work benefits the lives of others. My college experience wouldn’t be the same without Dance Marathon. Stephen, explained how much of an integral role DM played in his college experience from being the first activity he joined to visiting the Marathon every year to reconnect with his everlasting friendships that he made through DM. Katherine, current AD of HR, explained that being a part of Dance Marathon at Rutgers has strengthened my relationship with my brother, because we are able to bond over our DM memories. Our experiences at Rutgers are connected by our involvement in Dance Marathon. Even though we are six years apart, we have DM to thank for being the thing that brings us together
